Welcome to the Cordero Lab

“Flying through the Gut”

Our Vision and Goal

We are  a diverse group of people driven by a shared passion for discovery, strong team work, mutual respect, and commitment to high quality scientific research. We use flies and mammalian systems to understand how intestinal stem cells (ISCs) adapt and respond to changes in their micro and macro-environment, how the intestine senses and controls whole-body homeostasis and how intestinal dysfunction can lead to broader organismal instability.
